Hi everyone!

I recently had the opportunity to remove my passenger seat for cleaning due to an "accident" my daughter had. I noticed how easy the middle seat / flip down rest comes out leaving 4 nice mounting ears. Does any one know of an aftermarket bolt in console to eliminate the seat function and make more room for drink holders, CB's, Radios, Storage, ect. ?? I really don't need the seat in the middle and miss my old storage box in the Phord.

Anyone done a home made one?

Console

I just made one to meet my needs. Base construction is 1/2 top grade plywood, divided up to hold 2 - 2 way radios, switch box, siren. , two cup holders, ash tray (don't use that any more) a small tray for odds and ends, and a huge storage compartment. If you will e-mail me, I'll send back a couple of pictures Monday or Tuesday.

You might want to check out Galls They carry emergency vehicle equipment and might have what you're looking for.

Paramedic?

Hey Charlie,

How do you like the off-shore medic work? Mostly bandaid stuff and soft tissue injuries?

I thought about that job before I met the lovely, and it was hard to leave a fire dept job... they are tough to come by.

Steve.

It used to be just bandaids. Now we've become most of the employee's primary care. We treat everything from sinusitis to abcessed teeth. We carry the same quantity of antibiotics and other medications as a small town ER and it's all free to them. I've even had them bring their prescriptions out to the rig for me to fill from my stock so they wouldn't be charged for them.

One thing though, you still have to work the street to keep your skills in shape.

Tell me about it. I have been on a Truck company for a few years now and have to work overtime on the "box" to keep things dialed in. Kind of like riding a bike though.
