Center link troubles...again

I am on my third centerlink in the last 100k. Anybody out there with the same problem? This is my 92 with a service bed and lots of weight and in-town driving. It always gets loose on the steering gear joint. Will a steering stabalizer help? What is this Borgensen steering deal? Mark

I don't have many answers only questions. Is the axle carrying too much weight? A lot of turning when the truck isn't moving? These would cause problems. The steering stabilizer would only help dampen wheel movements.

Replacement Center Link

Mark try Moog brand parts, they are built better than the factory original parts. Note! there are several different part numbers for the center link, make sure you get the one for the diesel engine, it's much bigger than the regular D25 part.

Also try using a better grade of grease, this is one of those products that is often over looked. I use Quaker State Golden Chassis Lube, it's made just for lubricating front end components.

My last one is a Moog for the diesel. Maybe the grease will help.

Ive had two in the past 6 months,tried moog lasted 2000 miles went bad at the pitman arm. Took it back to parts store,they said they were having trouble with the moog steering parts. They gave me a spicer brand center link to replace it. I have hd no problems with this one for many miles.
