Any Body Out There

ABC's broadcast of 'Street Racing' last night

Well, folks. I have held on to this as long as possible, but I guess I need to let it be known.

My wife, Lana; (the head chef at Brandon's last event), goes in for exploratory CANCER surgery tomorrow.

We have been going through many days of "Why me?"

I just needed to vent a little.

Sorry if I bummed anybody.

We wish you luck and it's not always as bad as it seems. My Dad is 89 years old and had surgery last April for colon cancer. Took out a chunk, spliced the colon together like a garden hose and he is doing fine. We all expected to lose him. You just maintain and do the best you can. ;)

Our prayers are most definitely with you and your family. That sure was fantastic cooking at Brandon's shop :)

We all hope everything works out for the best.

The news?

Thanks folks for all the good thoughts and prayers. The news as it stands now is "Well, it doesn't look like cancer, but we'll know more in two weeks.

Wouldn't ya think that a doctor who has done, let's say 10,000 of these procedures would be able to spot cancer from 100yds.

So we are going to continue as though it isn't and when the test results come in non-cancerous we'll say "We knew it all along!"

Thanks again.

Hey guys keep your chin up, that couple of weeks will be over, in less see about two weeks. Then the Doc will say "Sorry we worried you, it wasn't cancer after all" Then you both go out and have a great dinner and get drunk.

I am not much of a prayen man, seen to many bad things I guess, But tonight I will say a little prayer for Lana. Good Luck Darlin'

Lana's Message

Bill just showed me all your wonderful thoughts. Just wanted to say thanks for all your kind thoughts. It's nice to know that there are BIG RUFF RAM guys that can give support to a LITTLE ;) gal like me!!

Thanks, Lana

Stranger, Although I'm on the "right" coast, I can sympathize. My wife had a similar exploratory in November. She just had her second and final followup last week. I'm glad to report that all is well. The doctor will continue to monitor the area where the suspicious cells were found. Of all that you do, help her keep a positive upbeat attitude. She'll appreciate you more down the road. ;) Anyway, all is well here now and I wish the same for you. Take care of her... ... and yourself.

YIKES!!!

I'll say a prayer too:)

Cancer has taken my mom and dad so I have a great appreciation for the serious nature of your situation:(

I know we made this clear before, but you all really outdid yourselves at Brandon's last gathering. So OH BOY, if Lana is the head chef then she's AWESOME BABY!!:D Still trying to figure out how we are going to repay you:confused:

My advice? This is not a practice life! BOMB:)
