Shop Day at Garmon's

Rprovence son needs help in Virginia

August 21, 2004. 10 AM till 3 PM PDQ performance in Sanford.

Cost is $65 for 3 pulls. They can run 10 trucks in the time frame so we'll need to know in advance if you want the dyno. 1st 10 trucks get it.

They can host a total of 30 trucks... meaning all dyno and NON-dyno folks total and some refreshments will be provided.

Directions from I-4

Get off at exit 101c

Turn East (south) on Hwy. 46

Go 1. 2 miles and turn right on Central Park Dr. (Bank First will be on corner). This is not a lighted intersection, it's just a right turn. We are the first building on the left hand side

Yes, count me in on the DYNO, I have all the bombs done and now the truck is ready to see what it REALLY has for power.

Bob Weis

Can you give an address so I can get MapQuest directions and map?

PDQ Performance Whse.

251 Central Park Dr.

Sanford, FL 32771

That's 2... me and you:) 8 more can pull. Remember though... . this is NOT just for dyno runs... anyone is welcome... the 10 slots are just for the dyno but they have parking available for up to 30 trucks.

I'll be there either way, but I'm still thinking about the dyno. Does it handle the duallys without removing any wheels? I've heard that on some that has to be done.

OK, count me in for one of the dyno spots. Since I haven't done any mods I guess I'll use this opportunity to establish my base line numbers. If somebody else who has mods wants to use the dyno and all the spots are full, they can have my slot. Looking forward to it!

Thanks on the reply on the training wheels. I had not even considered the dyno may not take training wheels.

In my case this may be the most expensive dyno run ever.

I am going to do the dyno, my wife and daughter and two granddaughters are going SHOPPING, ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhh noooooooooooooooo.

Now why on earth did I write "DYNO" on the calendar?

Bob Weis

Chris from PDQ wants to be sure everyone is olright with the storm passing through.

He says they are ready on their end but if enough of us had problems with the hurricane they can reschedule.

PLEASE let me know if you are coming even if you are not running the dyno.

Here's who I have for the dyno:

Me

Mark Gonske

Steve Slechta

Rob Weis

Jim Moore

That leaves 5 open dyno slots and they can accomodate up to 30 total trucks. So on top of the dyno (10 total) there'd be room for 20 more trucks. It would be great if we had a big turnout.

I'm still planning to be there, but I'll be monitoring this thread just in case it gets rescheduled. There are definitely a lot of poeple who got crushed by Charley and life is no where back to normal for them. Other than a couple of big trees ripped down, my family is fine. Keep us posted about Saturday Superman.

I am VERY much considering the drive down there - I should have all my initial BOMB stuff by Friday - I just won't have all the tools to install them - i. e. right angle drill, 1/4" NPT tap, etc... had plans to bring the truck to the office and use the bosses tools - his hobby is modding motocycles... .....

Bring it on down Jim. It would be a good time for you to set baseline numbers.

WHat;s the angle drill for? Sounds like you're mounting an EGT probe?? YOu can do it without... just drill straight down right off the #3 cylinder on the manifold.

I just wasn't sure - I've seen pics of both on these forums for 1-3 and below for 4-6 just wanted to place it in the best spot... .

I've got the SPA EGT and Boost guage to install, and the TST should be here tomorrow - i'll run it without any other mods for a while (till more money becomes available) and the I'll let it breathe with a new air and exhaust system... .

OK then count me in - I'll be there in the AM - have to be back in town at 5 for football draft :)

I'll bring what tools I have -

Thanks guys - I am looking forward to it...
