problem with prime-loc

Aftermarket Cam?

I thought about one of these but was concerned that the amount of oil required to make it spin fast would take too much away from the system and drop my oil pressure too much. Also kinda messy to change out. I would think it would work great though, it oughta spin any moisture down well too since it's heavier than oil, and particles even the finest filters cannot get out (although most stuff under 3 microns has little impact on engine wear).

I'm not aware of anyone running this setup on their Cummins.

Although not sure on that particular housing setup, the one on the Mack truck setup, all the oil is drained into the pan. No oil sits in the housing. If the Spinner uses the same filter as Mack, the holes aren't that big that spin the filter.

Anyone use this spinner filter?

Looks interesting and I saw the installation on the dodgeram.org site so I know it is possible.

PRO CON anyone?

Thx

I will be putting one of these on in about a week. It is bought and I am just waiting for it to show up. I got the model 25. Model 936 would have been prefered but was a bit too pricy. Model 25 take . 9 gpm. My truck idles with 30 psi and runs at 62 psi on the highway. So every 3 to 4 minutes by my claculation, all the oil in my system should run through this. My main reason for getting this to to remove soot from the oil. When I get it installed, I will post some pictures and give you my thoughts. :)

I would sure like to see some independent

test so I'm not buying "snake oil" if you know what I mean. it sounds good - but so did the gin-sue (sp) knife... ... ..... That's the hook in all stuff that really doesn't pan out as expected.
