CFM Intake Question

You know what's odd about my truck? Even when the temp hits zero, the truck does not like the heater grids. . never has. If I go out and hop in and immediately crank it like a gasser (not letting the grids do their job), the truck fires up immediately and runs perfect.

On the other hand, if I cycle the grids (once, twice, whatever), the truck won't start or will take 3-4 times to start it.

I have never figured this out as everybody else's truck loves the extra heat!?! Is mine an oddball or what? :-laf
