Has anyone purchased one of these composite intakes? Curious to find out what the composite material is and if there are any provisions for boost probe or water/meth. Tried calling Fastcore but couldn't talk to a live person. Apparently they are claiming quite a bit more cfm than the Banks high ram. Thanks.

Sorry I missed your call earlier but I have retuned your call since and reached your voice mail. You had a couple questions: Material is a high temp (555 deg F HDT) advanced engineering composite in use for years in turbo diesel applications mostly in Eurpoe. The manifold does have a boss on the back used in testing but is not pre-drilled. The CFM+ does out flow all manifolds on the market for the 5. 9L Cummins by alot and has the added benefit that the composite material is a tremendous insulator that helps keep heat out of the air flow. Thank you for your interest.

Can you give us actual flow numbers instead of alot? Also at what restriction. We get those kind of comparisons all the time from brand a and brand B :-laf

Bob

They have numbers on a graph on their website. I believe their comparisons are between the stocker, the Banks POS and their product. I don't think it says at what restriction you are asking about.

Joe

They're claiming stock is 700cfm, Banks is 825, and CFM+ is claiming 975. No statements of restriction. Does anyone know what the temp coming out of a stock intercooler with metal ends is? Or a BD Cool-It IC? Anyone on here seen/install one yet? I'm trying to desperately avoid Banks and I was put off on the finish of ATS's interior.

CFM+Tech Will you be offering any TDR discounts? Also are there any hard data reports to view? $400 is an awful for an intake. Thanks.

Without knowing at what restriction level the test were done at it is still not scientific... ... ... . inches of water and inches of mercury are a world apart. The stock airbox on a second gen is somewhere around 350 cfm @ about 2" of water if I remember correctly.

The actual numbers and company names are in the graph that appears in our ads in Diesel Power mag but the graph might be a little hard to read accurately. The head to head flow bench testing focused around 1,000 cubic feet per minute as a good round number. Then all manifolds were tested using the same exact parameters. CFM+ 993 cfm, Banks 828 cfm and stock 690 cfm. So the math is 993/ 828= 1. 199 which when rounded off is 20% more air. Math verses stock would be 993/ 690= 1. 439 or 44% more air.

Guys where's the love, we are on your side. What have some of those other companies done to you guys that you are so skeptical?

Finally if you’re the Bob that has the friend Randy that is the hunting buddy of a friend of mine, then I did call you a few months ago and left a message but never heard back. Now that’s a mouth full. Hope this helps and thanks for the interest in CFM+.

We're all about the love! There's been so much hocus pocus with other products and companies that, at least for myself, I would rather read the actual dyno, meter, whatever machine was used; printout and decide for myself if it's true or not. I would be very interested in trying this product, it's just that no one at my diesel shop or anyone else I mention it to, knows about it. It's also priced roughly $100 more than the Banks or ATS. Granted that is for the carbon fiber 'finish'.

I just can't stand Banks' lack of customer support especially for overpriced mediocre products. Thanks for all your follow up and I'd be interested in discussing this futher with you. Give me a call.

Thanks for the response and yes it is me. I must have missed your message some how. I was waiting to hear from you while you were waiting to hear from me... ... . another mouthful
