Cha;nge light color of gauges?

I remember reading some time ago about how to change the light color in gauges, however, I have not been able to find the info through searching. I purchased VDO Vision Series gauges for the truck. Design is the same, but the color is white and not green as compared to the instrument panel. Could someone give me some help? Thanks.

Most auto parts stores have little covers that go over the bulbs, green , red , blue, and others.
Auto Zone here has them.

I have Westach gauges and an autometer gauge in my truck. Both came with a colored transparent boot (condom) to put over the light bulb. I have no idea where you would be able to find one though.

I just got my VDO Vision gauges and the Boost and Oil Temp came with little colored condoms to slip over the white lamps to change the color. The green is a perfect match! As far as the pyro, it has a smaller lamp with no color change provisions. I just painted the little lamp green and it looks like the others.

I will have to check out thos colored filters from autozone. My Isspro boost gauge is white but so dim you can hardly see it.

The gauges usually use a #194 bulb. These are available in a couple of colors. Also Ive seen the boots advertised in speed catalogs.

The bulbs for the ISSPRO cum in at least 3 different wattages, the stock ones that came with my guages were the lowest wattage. I tried the next higher, a little better , then got the highest watt and it works good. Sorry ,Not sure of the bulb numbers.

I think you were shorted the bulb condoms, all of my VDO Vision guages, including the pyro, came with green and orange condoms.

Thanks for all the advice! I am going to call the garage that installed the gauges and ask what happened to the bulb covers. If that does not work out I will go to the local Penn Jersey Auto Store and check it out with them. Thanks for all the help.
