Nice job man. The thing I like best is the lack of smoke. 3rd gens are slowly taking over and cleaning things up. :D

Justin has the wrong personality for that name! He's just a down to earth guy that likes to pull.

Are you talking about Tampico, are you going to pull any that Sat at IRP.

I wanted to pull, but i had the truck unloaded, weighted up and was putting the stops in and noticed the rear end leaking oil. :( With the previous drive on the street and two pops, I figured it was the spider gears, so I loaded it back up, and had to sit and watch. Confirmed it today. Just got to try to get the ARB in for the ITPA pull saturday. Justin did have a good pull, got lucky when he chose that big gear, sled was geared pretty light. Previous weekend, Clark only got 274' and he ended up 314 or so at daleville. Anybody watch Todd Cox's final run. It wasn't pretty, about a 12" flame coming out of the stack for about 150' feet followed by the motor shutting down. I am guessing he blew some aluminum out the stack.

Dan,

You should have come out and said hi.

Didnt know you that was your truck on the trailer.

We drove our trucks in from over 90 miles away and both took home wins!

Gear selection at a pull and choosing the correct class to pull in are all based on the pullers experience. Some luck is involved but driving skill and the truck are all part of the equation. I think I did read the track well also.

I knew the 7500 was paying and I knew the sled climb (gearing) would be slowest of the night since most of the "serious" trucks couldnt hang much weight if any (none in my case) in the light class (and traction would be reduced).

The gamble paid off! :D

Here is the 2nd place hook in my class @ 314'

Gear selection]at a pull
No argument there, I was going to pull in the 7500 lb since I do street drive my truck. I can hang about 300 on mine and still make 7500. I figured that would be an easy class to get some payout. Clark had a great running truck last year. I am not sure what is going on this year, I saw him pull 350' at a pull last year, of course he blew the charger at the end. I also saw him grenade the transmission, last year too. Maybe he detuned it to keep it together this year. I never ran head to head with him last year, but last week at itpa pull I put about 8 feet on him and. If nothing else he has a sweet looking truck. You should pull ITPA it is a pretty good class, and it isn't that bad. I only got beat out of first by 8' last pull. I know 8' is alot, but second place was only 3'. Does your truck always burn that clean??
