Heavy towing - best bomb?

looking for gooseneck equipment trailer 14k to 20 k

I have a 1998 Challenger RL31 made by Damon. The only problem that I have encountered is the gasket around the slide-out gave out and I had to replace it.

Joe, thanks for the reply. I have been looking at an 04 challenger model 31RLB FW. It has two slides and looks very good. I am sure there are a lot of similar units out there but have not come across them yet. I currently have a 29' Jayco but It is a little small when you stay in for a couple of months. The other thing is I am not able to stand totally up in the bedroom part and getting tired of that. Otherwise it is an excellent unit. The Challenger brochure I have states that they are made by Keystone RV Company. Yours is made by Damon. I wonder if there has been a change in mfr. or something? We totally like the rear chairs for viewing TV etc.

Well, I have said enough. Maybe there is someone out there lookin for a smaller unit?

Maybe a trade would work? Thanks for your time. Dean

Dean, when I purchased the Challenger in 1998 it was made by Damon. I know that Damon sold the 5th wheel division, but do not remember when. Sounds like Keystone is making them now. I do not have a bedroom slide. I am 6 foot tall and in the bedroon my head just brushed the handle for the TV antenae. I have been very happy with the workmanship. Joe

I worked on the road with a kid who had 32 footer which he bought used, a 2000 if my mind serves. Man it was a beauty. The wood trim, furnishing and the like were topnotch. I drooled over it but went with a Forest River Wildcat 27'. I felt that the Challenger was heavier than I wanted. He pulled it with a one ton dually. As beeing over 6' the fact that I could stand up in the bedroom was a selling point for me.

Good luck. The little I have been around the Challenger, I would say they are right up there with quality.
