What is required to change fuel adjustments to meet the requirements of going from 175 hp injectors to 195 hp injectors. Meaning change in came plate and star wheel ect. And is the best place to get these direct from Cummins or not??? Do they have only new or do they have overhauled exchange units??? Prices ect. from past expieriances. Any info would be a big help Thanks Turbine Dude.

Welcome aboard turbine dude!

It's kind of a trial and error thing. When I put my 370's in, the idle dropped to 500 rpm!! Couple minutes with a 10mm wrench fixed that. The star wheel setting was OK in my case. That's an easy adjustment too.

Why not just get the 215's... or the 370's? Just curious.

I don't feel you'll need to change anything on your pump with those 195's,just drop 'em in. My '95 was a 160hp truck and I dropped in a set of 180 injectors without having to adjust anything, but in my opinion it wasn't enough of a differnce. I think you should at least get 215 injectors.

I'll have to agree with Mike you need to at least get the 215 HP

injectors,I bought a used set from the classified & ran them for a while they made a big difference.

I had 175's initially, then put in 215's. This was a nice improvment over stock. Now I have the 370's and couldn't be happier. None of the injectors changed my idle at all. Get the 370's, adjust your plate to suit your desired power level. ;)

As far as power is concerended I am fine, my big reason to going to 195's was that I had to change them so why not move up a size. My big concern is MPG, i want to retain the mileage i get now and this has been a great engine so far after 200k. Meaning this that after this much time on the road the oil runs out the same color after a 5k change as it did when I dumped it in. Thats impresses the hell out of me. So I traslate that into good fuel air ratio ect. Yes i am weird but have you guys retained your same mileage after these changes to 215 or larger injectors give or take??? Thanks Guys!!!!!!!!! Later, Turbine Dude

I went from 180 injectors to 215's. I noticed no negative affects to my mileage, unless my right foot got a little heavy ;)

I thought seriously about the 370's, but I decided againt then for the same reason you mention.
