Don't Know

Regarding the swap to discs, don't know about that for sure. It would seem logical that they would go on without much trouble. Sorry to hear your having a problem. Those D70's may be a tad light for a powered up Ram. Glad I didn't go to the D60 for racing.

I do know of a fellow who rolled an "02 4x4 up near Redding. He wants to sell it for parts. It has the D80 behind a 6-speed.

Let me know what you think.

HVAC,

Please let me know how much your friend wants for it. PM or email me please. Thanks.

I think lmills is right when he mentions you won't be dissapointed with the discs.

mberry, what components are you most interested in. The six speed transmission and xsfer is available.

How Much...

How much is he asking for the transmission and tansfer case. Does he have a dash panel in one piece? -- email address removed -- . Thanks Sam.

Actually, I was interested in the whole thing. Maybe I'll just swap out my auto for the 6 speed and not worry about the drivetrain anymore. ;)

I believe you'll have to change the master cylinder and proportioning/combination valve when doing the drum to disk swap.

If you do get a disc rear out of an 02 I would check it out very carefully. I saw a notice from Chrysler about a problem with the early 02 rear end caliper mounting brackets.

I guess a couple of them had broken off when the brakes where hit really hard.

Flaked

Sorry mberry, the guy flaked.

I asked for the address where the truck was stored so I could look at it first hand and give him an offer and his one word response was "MacArthur". I emailed him back that MacArthur wasn't much help and that I needed an address and phone number. No response. I guess the pain medication is working well:confused:
