Hello,
I have on 03 2500 that I bought in October of 02 with 62000 miles I still had the original batteries and I was warned by my mechanic that even though they were still working fine I should replace my batteries as they were too old and on one of his other customers the passenger side battery leaked causing lots of damage. He knew I would replace them myself so he was not looking for a sale.
Today I replaced both of the batteries. When I went back in the truck my Prodigy brake controller displayed "NC" . I unplugged /replugged it and now i think it is ok. I then ran the truck when I tried the AC, nothing. I can't say for sure it was working before the battery swap. It did work last summer. It checked the fuses and relay and they all look good. The AC Clutch is not engaging.
My question, could I have done some damage with the battery swap and if so what, or is this just another thing going wrong with my truck?
I thank all who reply,
Pete
