I changed the fuel filter in my 01' dodge cummins now engine wont crank . Lift pump is new could my injector pump have gone bad . I am not hearing the buzz the inj. pump usually makes when I turn thekey

The lift pump is the one that buzzes Just bump the starter then youll hear the buzzing start, after it stops buzzing bump the starter again... I would repaeat this 304 times, then it should crank.

there is no buzzing at all but I know the lift pump is fueling, should I still try what you recommended. Thanks

bump the starter 3 or 4 times and it will kick in, may need to cycle it 2 or 3 times to get the air pushed out of the filter housing, should start after that

Eddie

the only thing confusing me is that I have changed that filter 20 times before, and this has never happened before

You mean it won't start? You said crank (above) but the responses are for start failure, not crank failure!!!

Which is it so people get their responses right. .
