I Just Changed The Crank Speed Sensor And It Didnt Fix The Problem. Last Weekend I Swapped The Auto Out For A 5 Speed. When I Started The Truck After The Convertion The Tach, And Charging System Dont Work. All The Idiot Lights Are On, Wait To Start, Water In Fuel, Generator, and The Two That I Expected, Trans Temp, And Check Engine. I Need Help, Im Out Of Ideas

I have a computer out of a 1997 5 speed that I would sell. Check and see if you have 5 volts at the crank sensor. If you lost a ground it could do this. I shorted the 5 volts on the pigtail that goes to the automatic and it wiped out the ecm.

i did check the at the plug, and i had 5 volts to ground. i checked the right 5 volts, center nothing, left 5 volts, is the way it should be?

I don't have a manual. You should hae 5 volts on on of them all of the time, then one of them will cycle between 5 and 0V as the crankshaft censor is made and not made.

I went through the same nightmare last year. CHECK ALL THE CONNECTIONS AT THE TRANSPAN. I can't remember which connector caused me all those problems, but it all happended after I changed the trans oil filter fluid etc.

Also, check for combination of blown fuses at the junction box under the hood.

I feel for you. The dealer couldnt help me with my problem and whatever you do dont buy a PCM module first. Check all your connectors.

Hope this helps you out.
