Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Changing a vp 44

Do I need a puller to remove the timeing gear from the vp 44?

Yes, and a short one at that. The radiator sits very close to the gear case...



I got mine at Autozone. A small puller. It needs to have bolt holes right across from each other. .
