I"m surprised that happens in four wheel drive. I'd expect it if you were in two wheel. But then my Jeep is a whole lot lighter (no ls in the big truck).
I'm not surprised in the difference between shutting down for 1. 5"s of snow vs. going to school with three feet on the ground. In maine you're used to it, have the equipment, and the experience. Here if it ever snowed it would cause panic. Plows? hmmm, we'd have to make do with whatever road construction we have. Drivers would be totally unable to deal with it (cept for a few that ski a lot).
