Afternoon,

Tomorrow I am going to change out my rear brake shoes as they got covered in gear oil thanks to an axle seal. Now, I have done disc brakes before but have never attempted to change drum shoes out. I have all the proper tools but am clueless as to how the brake spring pliers work. For the life of me I can not visualize how to use them... any pointers? Thx... steve

A good set of pliers will have a small spoon-like cut in on end of handle. You use this to slip the spring back onto the center post. The other side of the handle will have a round 3/4" hub with a hole in it. This is used to remove the springs from the center post. Just put the lip on hub under spring and twist it off. Hope this is as clear to you as it is to me. Mike
