I have a broken towing mirror. I purchased a new one on Ebay for 97 dollars.

I have searched for posts found a few, but without specific info doing the job.

If I pull the whole panel, do I have to replace plastic retainers, and are there hooks on top like most door panels?

Or can I get away with just removing the screw on inside by mirror?

Thanks... gary

Well, that took about 5 minutes. I was replacing a non power mirror with a non power mirror. My son held it while I removed nuts. I stuffed a itty bitty sock of my wifes' in the gap under the studs making sure it did not fall in there and it saved a nut that slipped out of my fingers. All it took was a phillips screwdriver, 10?mm wrench. Took out screw, stuffed sock in, took off little nuts, pulled off mirror, put on mirror, put on little nuts, took out the sock, put in the screw.

I am embarrassed that I even posted about it. I guess I expected much more... gary

glad it was easy for you, the palstic hooks can be a pain as they are about $5 ea from dealer, found a body shop supply in town here that has a bag of 50 for $11. 00!!

All I did was remove the screw and bend the plastic back. I put the screw back in and you cannot tell it was ever messed with... gary
