A couple of my cab light bulbs have burned out, so I figure it's time to replace them. Anyways, do you have to replace the gaskets for the cab lights, or is it okay to re-use the stock ones? Also, I haven't looked into it yet, but what bulb do I need for the lights?

Thanks for any help

If you're lucky enough to have an owners manual the bulb # will be there, but auto parts stores generally have the books that will tell you. As far as the gaskets, It's really just a judgement call if they're cracked, chipped or chalky it's time to change them

Parker,

Are you talking about the roof clearance lights? If so, they are the 194 bulb. They have the flat end that just pushes into the socket. I have replaced several and just kept the original gasket in place.

Yeah, I'm talking about the roof clearence lights. So you're saying it's okay to ru-use the original gasket, if it's in good shape? Do I need to seal it with silicon or something (I believe someone told me that)? If I do need new gaskets, any idea where to get them?

Thanks

If the gaskets aren't cracked, you could clean them real good and probably not have any trouble. I've had one of mine off a couple of times without changing it.

Alright thanks, that's good to hear. I read somewhere that Dodge no longer supplies the gasket, and we are basically on our own to find or make one if the one we has fails.
