would like to change my coolant (30,000) do I need to flush at this low milage, or just drain it out and put the 50/50 mix back in. The shop manual refers to doing a reverse flush or something like that, if possible I would like to keep it simple.

Andy - follow the TDR recommendation. "Just change the coolant in the radiator and the overflow jar twice as often as the owner's manual recommends". This prochedure takes a total of 4 gallons of mix. Do it every 20K miles

Andy, check out this message https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum4/HTML/000229.html . That's the method I used when I changed mine out and got 5 1/2 fresh gallons into the system with little to no hassle. I felt better doing that than the 50/50 method.
