Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Changing FUel filter on 02

Hello! I bought a 02 over the summer. I also have an 04 that I change the fuel filter on all the time myself now. . Is there really any differences that I should be aware of??? Can someone post the procedure for this or can I just do ti like my 04? Thanks!

Mine is a 99 with a different filter setup but from what I know, use a socket on the plastic filter housing head & not the extension hole, drain the filter housing, install new filter, tighten top & bump the starter to get the lift pump running & pumping fuel. Repeat the "bumping of the starter several times to fill the filter housing & to purge the air out of the lines & injection pump.

After bumping the starter several times like stated above, hold & turn the key to the start position & the truck should start... .

Someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I think that should get r done!
