Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) changing fuel filter??

i have a early 98 12 valve which i have owned for about 2 mo. how do i get to fuel filter to change it? it looks like the inside cannister type,why does cummins hide that stuff? any tricks of the trade for changing this?how does it even come off or out of there??tnx guys denny!
