I have a 98. 5 and it is on its third stock lift pump. A while back I was looking at some posts where people had moved the Carter lift pump back towards the fuel tank. The question I have or the problem I am having, is I don't want the new fuel pump to be pushing fuel through the old fuel pump. Does anyone know if there is a kit sold to go around the old lift pump? Or do you just cut the lines and tap right into the fuel filter with a rubber fuel line? Any suggestions? Also, what is the easiest and cheapest way to install a fuel pressure guage? I have wracked my brain and need some help. Thanks!

The Vulcan kit not only relocates the L/P but it repalces all the restrictive banjo fittings with 1/2 lines. I did the kit and then lost my L/P which was already dying. It took 7 minutes to replace the lift pump with the spare I had. See my post relocating lift pump worthwhile.

Put it in the tank

Mopar has acknowledged that putting the lift pump so high and suppling it with restrictive fuel lines and a fuel module that can leak air into your fuel supply, was a mistake. There is only two ways to fix this problem. One way is to put a pump low and near the tank AND open up the lines into the tank. The other way is to put Mopars updated pump in the tank.
