Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Changing out radiator fluid

Changing out fluid this w/e and there is no gasket, so I am told, between housing and hose attatchment when I change out thermostat. Is there something that I am supposed to put there like gasket sealer?(the gorilla snot looking stuff) TIA.

I never used anything when I changed mine. I believe the rubber o-ring is the reason for this. All I did was change the thermostat and bolt it back down, no leaks, no problems.

You can use a real light coat of "Gorilla Snot" on the housing, anything with water flowing through it I use a little, even with an O-Ring.

Clean surfaces and O-ring in good shape you're pretty well set.
