You will not find hose barb fittings for metric M12x1. 5 unless they are 1/4" or smaller... if that. Good luck and let me know if you do. I went through all this some time ago and searched for weeks. I called some specialty adapter companies that make special fittings for switching foreign manufacturing machines over to US fittings. Even they couldn't help me.

You may have to go custom made. But if you do find something please post it. I'm always interested in those kinds of things. :)

You can, however, purchase 12mm to AN-6 adapters, and then use 90-degree AN-6 to barbed fittings. I got my Goodridge brand adapters from Orme Bros. in California. They weren't very expensive.

I adapted using M12x1. 5 to -6AN as the others have metioned. Thats the easy way to do it. What I was refering to is the unavailability of M12x1. 5 o-ring port X 3/8" hose barb 90's. Unless they are custom made... I don't believe they exist.

Does anyone know of a 12mm to an adapter that is cheaper than the earles?

Is the vp44 input the same size as the filter?

VP inlet is the same M12x1. 5 metric thread.

I got my -6 size adapters in steel (better than aluminum in my opinion) from Wildcat Diesel.

The only thing was mine came unplated. You can paint the exposed part or buy a zinc coating kit and coat them like the factory banjo bolts. Just make sure to do something cause bare machined steel dont stay rust free for long.

90* bent fuel lines

Here is what I did to the stock fuel filter lines in addition to the FASS system.

Here's my 90 fitting at the VP44. You can't see it... but there is a M12x1. 5 O-Ring X -6AN adapter (steel by WildCat Diesel) under the fitting. The hose is SAE J30R7 Fuel hose (50 psi working pressure, 100 psi max) and the fitting is/was a Aeroquip Socketless steel 90 with the barbs slightly polished for use with regular hose. The clamp is an Oetiker Stainless hose clamp. Special pliers crimp the clamp tight.

Fitting

J30R7 is available at most any parts store. Better yet use J30R9 Fuel Injection hose. It too is available at your local Napa, Autozone etc. Most will have it on the shelf.

J30R7 is your basic fuel hose spooled up at these stores. The J30R9 is capable of much higher pressures than R7. Plus it is very resistant to diesel. J30R9 will be more expensive than R7 but well worth any extra cost.

Just called summit racing. Their special part # GTR-65153 is $101. a 25 ft spool of 3/8" J30R9 . The same spool of J30R7 is $15... WOW.

Well I am going to send back the J30R7 and the -6 AN aeroquip. Might as well get the good stuff. :-/ This way I will be using a lot less stupid fitting adapters anyway.

VP44 -> 12MMx1. 5 -> 90 degree female to female - 6 AN adapter... - 6AN male to 3/8" barbed. 3/8" J30R9 fuel hose to 3/8" barbbed (pump) 3/8" coupler (pump to filter), again 3/8" barbbed to J30R9 fuel hose to 3/8" barbed on top of fuel tank?

30R9 is multi-fuel type hose so its good. 30R7 is rated for diesel as well.

J30R9 has a much higher working pressure rating that R7. R7 may have around a 50psi working pressure max and a 250psi burst. R9 will have something like 125psi working and a 900 psi burst. So R9 has a higher safety factor... not that you'll need it.

Both feel similar and are easy to work with. Cummins uses R9 whenever they have a stub section of hose in their hard line setup.

If you want to slip either style (3/8" size) over the fuel tank nipple... you'll probably have to shave down the barb. Its a little large and not really made for hose. I used emory cloth and took my time. Worked well.
