Not too Bad. have to drop the t case (duh) and just unbolt the overdrive unit from the transmission. Next pull snapring inside that hols in the clutches, pull the clutches. There is a small cover with 2 torx screws on the outside of the cover towards the oututshaft area, pull it. Inside there is a nother snapring, and open that with 2 pairs of needle nose pliers. The whole unit will come out now. You will need a press for the rest of the dissassembly as well as either the spline alignment tool or an old intermediate shaft for reassembly. Basically just pull snaprings and take note of what went where. Pictures are great if you are worried.

Just make sure you have the spline alignment tool or intermediate shaft in the splines before using the press to compress the spring or you'll never get it on the transmission.

Ahh it looks like the Stone Church South division broke another part. Sorry to hear about it Dave. I'll come down and give ya a hand if ya want.

I'll have that Hx 60 for ya later this week. :rolleyes:

it was mentioned earlier... . but not stressed...

There is a LARGE spring in the OD section that needs to be accounted for. You MUST have a special tool and a press to dissassemble the OD section. Without them... . Well we could potentially have a TDR funeral.

I'd purchase an ATSG manual that way you can see what is needed and how to do it.

josh thanks for the warning. I would hate to ruin my modeling career :-laf

I will have to check around for some tools. Hx60? I think I need more drivetrain thank air. lol! :{

Shopping me? :-laf I'm still chugging along, buying things as I get some extra cash. Looking like I'm gonna have to pick up another truck. Save mine for the tow rig and get something else for the play toy.

Turned out it was the output, not transfer case. And to think, all this while driving to and from church. :-laf My broken parts shelf is gettin quite extensive at Forest City Diesel :rolleyes:

You ain't got a shelf you got the whole east wall. :-laf

P. S. You ain't been to church since your sister got married.

Travis your sharp, but I've had enough. Jacob is in charge of the Nothern Division. I'm sorry dude. Now to find some hangers on the east side for a bent dana 70! :eek: :-laf :eek:

P. S I beat him though! lol

Jacob says he is ready to go. His feet are still a little short to reach the pedals, but man can he install exhaust tips.

That pic is sweet. Jacob is a future supertuner for sure. :cool: Looks like I'll have her back together today for the pulls tomorrow. Its starting to be a bad trend pull-break-pull-break-pull-break :(
