How the heck do you get the front shocks removed from a 99 4wd to install new ones. Any direction, tips or pointers would be greatly appreciated. A friend is putting on Bilstiens and can not figure out how to get the old front shocks removed to install the new ones. THANKS in advance for any input.

You have to remove the 3 bolts on the top shock tower to remove it, so the shocks can be passed through the top. Loosen the shock bolts first then the top mount second. Not sure where your problem is maybe a little more on the diffuculty your having and we can help more. In my case I wire tied the shock depressed before pulling it through the top because fully extended it was real tight on getting it out especially on the driver side with all the wire and crap. Not sure what else you need at this point, hope this helped a little.
