Right now I have 33x12. 5x16. 5 BFG ATs on my truck that hang out of the wheel wells and scratch up my truck w/ thrown debris. I'd like to change to a narrower wheel and tire combo that'll preserve the finish on my truck and do better in the snow. I'm looking at the Alcoa Classic or LTS wheels in 16x7 w/ 4. 29" backspacing, what size tire will not hang out of the wheel well with these wheels? I'd like to go with a tall tire. Thanks.

I have the LTS wheels with 285-75-16 and they stick out in the front I'm thinking of going to 255-85-16 or I'm going to buy some fender flairs.

Stevek; do you or anyone else have a side view of your truck w/ the LTS wheels? I'd like to see them mounted up before I buy. Thanks.

Gimmie a day and I'll take some more for ya... . shot your email address at -- email address removed -- might be a tad easier.

I would like to chime in here too as an owner of Alcoa LTS wheels. I also have 285/75/16's on them and I agree they do stick out in the front a little bit. I'll see if I can dig up some pictures. I would take some now, but the the wheels are in the basement for the winter :)

I have Cooper 255-85 tires on my original alloy wheels (a 2001, single wheel 2500), and they work really well. When they are finally worn out, I will buy another set just like them.
