I have another question then. If I fill through the shifter will I have to take the whole PTO cover off or just take out the bottom screw, drain, then just put the bolt back in? Or do I need to remove the whole cover, put sealant around it and then put all the bolts back in.

Modified,

If you fill through the shifter you can drain it any way you want. Easiest is to take the bottom bolt out of PTO cover to drain so you dont have to reseal the whole cover.

To fill it, you will have to take apart your inside console around the shift lever, and get to the top of the transmission through the hole in the floor and then remove the 4 bolts holding the shifter to the transmission in order to remove the shifter and fill it from the top. It is easy to fill this way, but harder to get to than just removing the fill plug on the the side of hte transmission.

Just thinking of transmission oil change, man. trans. totally ignorant of same, remove drain plug, plus filler plug, also breather. Drain oil, when drained, replace drain plug. Pressure feed replacement amount of oil through filler plug hole, take it easy with pressure flow. When required amount of oil replaced, remove pressure fitting, replace Fill plug, then Breather. Take your time, if you are working too hard, you are working too hard. Of Pressure Feeding? perhaps one could use a Mechanics Professional Cooks Baster, (think Turkey) found at Auto Dept. Wallys, otherwise if you are Boilermaker, Hydraulic person, or anyone familiar with pressure devices, a simple arrangement of available parts could be assembled. Have Fun. Next issue, have figured out how to completely drain and refill an automatic trans. simple and easy with utmost efficiently. Keep in Mind, Liquids tend to reach the lowest level, air the highest if allowed to do so, and don't ever Ignore Gravity, it's claimed, it's always present, cheap, and made available to everyone. Scrum Down
