Hey guys. I am thinking about selling my truck and getting a new one. I have 25,400mi. on my truck now. You can see in my sig all of the stuff I have on it. Would I be crazy getting a new one? Or would it be a good idea?

Thanks

Jason

depends on why you want a new one, do you need a long bed, do you need 4 doors, do you want a 6 speed, if power is your reason it looks like you have a lot of money in your current truck and it isn't even broke in yet.

I agree with Gary. You need to justify why you need a new truck. It was easy for me even after putting $12,000 into my 01. We needed a 3500 to put us legal with the 5vr we have, & I wanted to go back to shifting my own gears.

Only you can answer that question, why ask us? Only 25,000 miles, next time just get a gasser and save the money, long life is obviously not an issue with you.

But I must admit if it wasn't for people like you, there wouldn't be nearly as many on the TDR forums. You get to take the depreciation hit and allow others to profit from your bad discission making. Go buy a new truck, cummins will love ya, Dodge will love ya, especially if you buy one of the slow selling Mega Cabs, and the guy that purchases the used truck will love ya, see that wasn't so hard was it?

I appreciate the kind words.

If you are that worried about your upgrades start selling them on trade for factory parts. You can take almost everything off and make a little $$$. (power puck, injectors, turbo, wheels and tires, AFE, clutch if you do a local swap, FASS if the factory fuel system is funtional, etc)

There are plenty of people who would love to have a low mileage 2nd gen. Just make sure you sell it here or tell people where you trade at.
