Chapter Near Pittsburgh

I was think of tring to get a Chapter together around to pittsburgh meto area

First, welcome to TDR. There are quite a few local owners here that have been meeting off and on in an "unofficial" group. We have a lot going on now getting ready for IRP at the end of the month. Maybe we can have a local event like a cookout or something when we get back.

What is IRP?

DHRA (Diesel Hot Rod Association) event at Indianapolis Raceway Park the last weekend of June. Hundreds of trucks will be there for the sled pulls, drag racing, dyno competition, show 'n shine, and a burnout contest. Take a look at the National Events section for more details.



A bunch of us from Western PA will be heading out.

Like Justin said, a bunch of us are leaving Thursday, June 22nd, around mid morning from my shop in Mount Pleasant.



If any of you have not been to the Diesel Nationals before, you have to try to make it this year. It is one fun weekend and I know others on here will back me up saying that.



And about the Pittsburgh area chapter, I think its a great idea. I've been approaced several times about doing this but I just don't have the time to devote to it myself. Lets do it...

I hope everything gets better for you soon... And even though you cannot make the Diesel Nationals, don't be a stranger. Swing by my shop some Saturday because thats usually when everyone is there hanging out. And then we can talk about forming a Pittsburgh area chapter. There are so many diesel folks around here, I think we could have a huge chapter.

Shop is in downtown Mount Pleasant, just a block off of main street.



If you're familiar with main street Mount Pleasant, there is a Honey Bear convienent store at the bottom of town. My place is located just across from the Honey Bear, on Shupe Street(small street). I share a shop with Coppula's Garage, so thats the name you'll see on the building. I am there most evenings and every Saturday, so give me a call sometime.
