Charge air leak DISCOVERED!!

My 04. 5 has always had higher EGT's than I was happy with. Bone stock it would easly run up to 1400 and at that point I get really spooked. Mark at PDR sugested that there was a boost leak. I was sure he was wrong. I had checked all the boots and clamps many times. He talked me into making a test bung so I could pressureize the charge air system and there was a leak!!! I am sure it has been there from the time the truck was new. All I had to do is remove the clamp and straighten the boot and then reclamp. Just had a short trailering test drive and the truck seems more responsive and has less heat. Gonna go an a towing trip to Utah tomorrow and will give a full report when I get home.
