Charging System Question on a 90 D250

I have replaced 2 voltage regulators in my 15 years of owning a Cummins. The problem I had was related to the external voltage regulators that were mounted on the firewall. Problem ended up being corrosion on the connection due to water and time getting into the plug-in. A small dremel tool and some electrical grease fixed that.



I would say they are very reliable, yet cheap to replace if need be.

The latest replacement, along with a ground wire has taken care of the problem so far. I still have the spare behind the seat just in case.
