For a stock replacement the Sears platinum P-2 offer 930 CCA's, which spins the motor much quicker than the OEM 750.

So I still need to add a beefier ground to my pair of deep cells.

Can I just tap it onto the sheet metal of the bed, or is there a better place to mount an upgraded ground wire?

I look forward to the 6 volt upgrade, but maybe not until next winter.

I connected my 8-gauge ground wire to the negative post on the driver's side battery which eliminates any possible bad connections in the body and/or frame grounds.
