I just did my first oil change, and I can confirm that Ah-nold did put the oil filter on with a cheater bar as mentioned in another thread.

Are there 3 lube points on a 2006 4x4? I got the outer tie rod end on each side, but I just couldn't find the front driveshaft fitting.

Does anyone have an actual picture? The diagram on the radiator support was too vague for this moron.

Also, after putting 3 gallons of Rotella in the truck (including about a quart in the filter), I ran the truck for about a minute to check for leaks. I installed a Fumoto valve, and it will definitely make the next change easier. Anyway, after waiting 10 minutes, the world's longest dipstick showed that I was a quart low. Does it take longer for all the oil to drain down?

3 Fittings on my 05... two on the tie rod ends and one on the U-joint closest to the transfer case. On mine, it is only reachable from the front... need a "needle greaser"... it's just a small cup-like structure on the middle part of the joint and you place the needle end in the bottom of the cup and hold it into position. I found it easiest to locate it with a flashlight...

Haven't noticed the drop in oil level after a change like that... sorry I can't help you there.

I found a pretty good picture of the fitting but haven't the foggiest how to attach it here. If you search on posts by REndres dated 1/10/06 you can find it. You also can go to John Holmes Carson Valley Dodge site for quite a bit of info on this subject (Carson Dodge Chrysler Support).
