Went driving on a washboard road for about 1 hr a while back. Only drove about 15mph. But thereafter, just driving over small bumps on a paved road causes a disturbing loud rattle/rumble from the chassis. Sounds like it might be suspension, but not sure. Took a look underneath but couldn't find anything loose.

Any suggestions of what parts would tend to come loose or break from driving on washboard roads? Or ways to isolate the noise. Seems to be coming from the engine area, vs the rear end.

TIA,

Joe

Cause of Rumble Found

Update on Rumble diagnosis -

Dealer diagnosed cause of front suspension rumble on small bumps in pavement. driveways, or dirt roads as loose stabilizer (sway bar) link nuts. They tightened them and sent me on my way, No Charge! Yep, I couldn't believe it myself. Guess they were guaranteeing that I'll be back for the next big $ work order :-laf

So for anyone who has a consistent rumble from the front suspension after driving on washboard dirt roads, check your front stabilaizer link nuts... First

Bilsteins going on next, at about 60,000 miles Oo.

FYI,
