Does anybody ever use chat? I been there about 5 times and nobody is there. Seems like a good way to get trouble fixed very quickly. Instant communication. Just wondering.

What happens is a lot of people go there, see that no one is there then instantly log off, sort of a vicious circle. If you go there and wait awhile someone else will log on then it starts snowballing in the other direction as more folks log on and stay.

Turns into a pretty happening place in the evenings:eek: If youre the only one there, just talk to yourself a little while and someone will show up. Hopefully not the guys with the straightjacket. Pop in after 8 est sometime

Hey, I resemble that remark!!!!! :D

Preston, as HC said the evenings when guys have a little time on their hands is when the chat gets going. If you are having trouble or have a question and think one of the guys that is on the board at the time can help send them a PM and ask them to go into the chat so you can discuss something. The PM comes through almost instantly, and very few around here won't try to help. Unless chat happens to have crashed it is available all the time. It is entertaining at least to shoot the breeze with the guys, which is what happens most of the time. See you in there some time.

More like a good place to get into trouble. :D ;) LOL Come on in tonight. We'll be there! And who knows, we might even talk about trucks at some point. :p

If a few of you would volunteer to go into the chat and hang out, I'm sure the guys that just pop in there will stay and chat. I do that in the GLTDR chat room sometimes and just leave the window open, while I do my homework in the forums. If someone shows up, I take a break and start chatting. After a while we will have six or seven guys in there.

I'm moving this thread to the TDR Website/Roundtable Forum where it really belongs. I'll be nice and leave a link on the General Diesel Topics though.
