Has anyone tried the PIAA wiper blades. I would like to get something that will stop the chattering. I thought about ordering some of the PIAA ones and trying them out. Just wanted to see if anyone has tried them. Thanks for your help.

Try RainX windshield solution (apply it once with a rag) and also their washer fluid.

It makes the rain drops fly off the windshield without need for wipers, especially on freeway. I keep mine on intermittent while others have them on fast and furious.

As HOBrien mentions in the link, the blades have to be set to 90* to the windshield or they will chatter.

I have done this to my truck and my wifes Jeep and it works.

Man o man am I glad this came up... . my wiper blades drive me nuts... .

What do you expect for a $47K truck? I expect something that freakin' works!!! :-{}

Is there an adjustment to the angle or are you twisting the wiper arm?

You have to twist the arm. I did it with an adjustable wrench. It's easy to do. If you look at them now, the blade will probably be laying down. Take the tension off the blade and gently set the blade back on the windshield and see if the metal holder comes back parallel to the windshield. If not, twist it slightly until the blade holder is parallel. That puts the blade at a 90* angle.

Yes I have the PIAA wiper blades on mine. They are the only blades I have used that don't chatter until they get packed with ice/snow. Once that happens I just break off the ice or snow and we're back in business. Otherwise they work great. Best blades I have ever tried and I have tried a bunch of them.

Clean glass and wiper blades with BonAmi. Works great.

Looked for Bon Ami today at the grocery store and of course I couldn't find it. :rolleyes:

I bought a set of Bosch MicroEdge Excel blades for my truck and my wife's Civic. No more noise.

I've also been using Rain-X de-icer washer solvent. Can't wait until I've used it all up because I feel it leaves a horrible film on the windshield that makes driving in the rain beneath overhead lights downright dangerous. I had the same trouble with Prestone de-icer. I think the film is caused by the glycol that gives the stuff its anti-ice properties. I'm going to take DP's suggestion and clean with Bon Ami.

BON AMI is a PROPER repair PER Caddy! Used it on MANY with loud wipers. Put a lite dusting on wet damp windshield and use a wet scott towls. Clean and rinse well. Take a swap or two on wipers blades. Works great. Takes the oil based road film etc off. Rinse well. Clean several a DAY with Bon Ami. Even a warranty op code for cleaning! Far exceded to cleaning power of windex etc. made widers work slick and no noise.
