I used to use it on my 01 with the leather wheel until a leather guy told my why it looked crappy. Some stuff from my old horse owning neighbor fixed it right up though.

Same here. I was constantly cleaning the leather wheel on my 96, and I got tired of it. When I ordered the 05, my sales guy kept saying "C'mon, the Thunder Road will cost you less overall!" I said no - I didn't want the leather wheel or the bodyside moldings (after having full-length moldings on my 96, even over the dually fenders, I think the door-only moldings look cheesy).MChildress said:I got tired of replacing worn through leather steering wheels. I odered my 04. 5 with a regular steering wheel. The saleman looked at me funny and said the leather was only a $40 extra. I stuck by my guns and out of all the people that have been in or looked at the truck no one has noticed or mentioned its not leather wrapped. The steering wheel is still as new.![]()
