Competition Cheap Man's Wastgate

I just had a B1 installed and I was making 50lbs boost so I was trying to figure a way out to loose some boost to save my headgasket. Right before I was to pull with the help of a couple of guys I took out my EGT censor and it worked. I only made 45lbs. Then I smoke my clutch by trying to pull in 4th gear.

So how is the clutch ? it should recover pretty good.

You should have, like, asked for a second opinion from Jesse... he at least would have had the common sense to say, "No, that's a pi$$ poor idea!"



There are many different methods for putting a wastegate on your B1. You just need to go to your shop (you know where that is, right? It's where your dad works on all the tractors and trucks while you're out goofing off... ) and conceive on that will work.



Better yet, just do the headwork and don't worry 'bout the extra boost. That's a much better idea! Hope the clutch is allright, and that the kid, wife, and next kid are ok too. Just razzin' ya a bit.
