About a year ago I remember a discussion about a dealer that was selling the Diesel Wrap and other extended warranties at $100 over his cost, so it was under a grand total. But of course now I can't find the info. Anyone bought the extended warranty lately for a good price?
The Warranty Group in Mobile, AL has a pretty decent deal. $158/yr regardless of how many miles you put on the beast. The only problem for some might be they are a tad more particular than DC about violating the terms of the agreement with aftermarket mods, and they don't get in a giant hurry to reimburse you for your costs.
Vic R, I just wanted to let you know that an extended DC warranty (service contract) is negotiable as is the price of a new vehicle. Find out what the full price of the contract is (msrp if you will) and then divide that figure by 1/2 and that is the price the dealer pays DC for the contract. If you can find someone that will sell the contract for $200. or less over cost you have a good buy. In other words lets say the contract list's for $1,800 so the cost is $900 and they want to let you purchase it for $1,100 you are getting a good deal. Just thought I would try and help.
When I got my truck, the dealer tryed to sell me one for $1,600. DC has been sending info in the mail, they want over $3,000. for there, The only problem I ever had with my old 92, was u-joints, so I have pass.
I just bought the extended warranty for my truck and it cost me 1605 Cdn( $1000 US). Make sure you get the plan with the 0 deductable as the $100 deductable plan is only 300 less.
