Tech Authority only lists the BA flash as the latest. Any idea what the flashes up to BD do?

Latest flash suffix's:

These are for the Pick-Up's

2007. 5 = BD

2008 = AV

2009 = AQ

These are for the Cab/Chassis

2007 = BD

2008 = AV

2009 = AH

The latest flashes are mainly to install a program to enable the dealer technician to be able to do a "Stationary Regeneration of The DPF". This will enable the technician to perform a "De-Soot of the DPF" with the vehicle setting out in the parking lot. It also does away with the "Mobil De-Soot procedure" the dealer technician used to take the vehicle out on the road to perform a regeneration of the exhaust aftertreatment system.

I personaly don't agree with the thought process that went into getting rid of the "Mobil De-Soot" procedure.

I'll leave it at that... .

I still advise anybody that has not had there vehicle reprogramed after march of this year to have it reflashed to the latest and greatest calibration. There are still a lot of good things in the latest calibrations.

I agree with you AH64ID... Not sure how that would work but Mike above says the new flashes allows the tech to do it... My biggest complaint is that the overhead should tell al when in regen mode... so many people have stated on this site about the inconvenience in having to drive an extra 15 minutes or so to complete regen. . for me a least of couple of times on the boat ramp on comes my Edge alert I am in regen... :HOW NICE! Then it goes off comes on again as it is suposed to but if you can't complete again another missed regen and more soot etc, etc, etc... All kidding aside I did get the BA Flash with the new Turbo... truck did seem down on power unless I am loosing my mind????

Nope... you're not losing your mind! At least not about that! LOL. Mine has definately lost power. Also... before the flash I would reset the computer and drive 65 on flat interstate, for about 30 miles to work, and get just shy of 23 mpg (it's off about 1 MPG compared to hand calc. ) Now... same road, same wind, and I get just over 17. OUCH. It used to have a snapping shift into second if I stood on it... now it just shifts. Going back to the dealer to see what's up; This isn't the truck I bought... I want that truck back.

On another note... I never know when mine has or is going into regen. It has never given me any sign at all. Anyone have any ideas?

My truck goes into regen about every 65 miles or so... You will never know if yours is in regen without a pyrometer. . The temp goes up from around 900 to around 1100-1200 degrees. . My edge unit tells me when I am in regen as well as trans temp, turbo boost, and enginee degree... when the regen goes off you can see the temps go down. . keep in mind that it is also going constantly into "passive" regen as you can see those buy the increased degrees as well... Remember their is passive and active regen... passive is constantly going on and then active is when it holds the temp for around 15 or so miles depending on rpm's... without a system like edge or a pyro guage you will never know when it is in regen. . the only thing you will know is when you filter is almost full which is almost too late depending where you are... . not a good system... .
