Turned box up to 100 horse for the first time tonight ( BD X-power) rolled into it about 3/4 throttle and the truck just nose-dived started missing bad, I got out of it quick turned it down to level 1 and it ran fine. Cranked it back up to 100 and romped on it it didnt miss the second time but now check engine light is on. Dont want it to come on every time I turn my box up. Is this prob. an overfuel or something? Can I have the code cleared other than dealer in order to avoid all the stupid downloads theyll want to do? Thanks fellas... . Smokin Joe

It means one or more of your injectors are having an electrical interruption. Check electrical plugs for water damage, there is a testing procedure to check electrical resistance of your injectors (about 1 ohm). Also, wires could be damaged inside valve cover, or bad injector solenoid. Bad ground connection could also cause this.

There's a PDF shop manual at hemitruckclub.com you can download.

On edit, I think it's your BD box doing it. Check your plugs.

Were you on the throttle when you turned it up? My Juice will set codes 2146 and/or 2149 if I fiddle with the low boost fueling while on the throttle. Check the three injector connections anyway... I'm assuming the X-power has them.

The codes will clear themselves after 100 key cycles or something like that. The CEL is probably already off.

You are correct, light is off now. I think I was just driving along and turned the knob, but I might have whacked the skinny pedal at the same time? Whats the point in "on-the-fly adjustability" if you cant do it. If a Stroker happens upon me and he needs to be whipped, I dont want my truck nose diving and sputtering real loud  Oh well thatll teach me :-laf Will check injector connectors tonight and keep on driving.

P. S. Thats the first time Ive felt 100 additional horses. FELT GOOD. Now Im getting reagy to order additional fuel supply and hopefully by the end of 06 Ill order my intercooler.
