Check Engine Light at 36000

CEL came on right around 36k with no codes in the message center just the "idiot" light.



Tuck runs fine, oil pressure, water temp, trans temp etc. Could this be that EGR filter reminder.



Don't know how to check for codes on the 2010. Old way was three turns of the key without starting and wait as the instrument console went through a self test and last step was the codes.

The old way of checking codes is also the "new way. "

The CEL may clear itself after a few start, run, stop cycles.

Mine came on after driving through a strog cross wind (60+ MPH). Turned out to be the Mass Air Flow sensoe. There was no damage to the sensor and the CEL reset after a few days.

CEL reset itself still. Toed code test all went fine but no code errors.

My engine light has came on also, no codes when checked. Will go in tomorrow. After 2 weeks and 4000 miles it hasn't reset yet. Harvey the old truck is still running fine, 356k on it, and still purring like a kitten. Rebuilt the front end, replaced the turbo, and a few other maintence items going for that 500k badge.....

I would recommend paying attention to your CEL's with the 6. 7's. Many of the codes will stop the regen s from happening that is not a good thing
