I should've tried that when it was happening that night.

What kind of codes could you see with the darn thing running perfect and the check light on? <font size=-2>

First one comes to mine is maybe an overboost code. Thats what I am thinking... .

Since the light is off you may not get it to display in the odometer window might have to have a scanner to pull the code out.

I just got through replying to HVAC and he and you Kat have hit the nail on the head.

I was running late for a meeting Friday morning and made the usual 6 min. trip in 3 minutes. So yes my turbo had my CPU screaming for mercy!!

The light probably came on as soon as the tires quit smoking. It was nice and cool and humid also. Perfect conditions for extreme boost.

Thanks for the E-Mail HVAC and same to you Kat.

Mine did that to a couple of weeks ago, along with the ABS light. It was a cold snowy night, in fact I was out plowing. I drove it home and pulled it into the garage, shut her down and restarted it and all was fine again.
I though maybe some ice got packed in around a sensor somewhere?????? it's been fine since, Go Figure.

If you get it to display P1693 in the odmeter window thats what it was. If you ever get a scanner put on it, let me know how it turned out please, for my own curiosity.

How do you cycle the ignition to get fault codes? Is it as accurate as using a scan tool?

Friday Night the dreaded light came on, but nothing seemed wrong in the slightest and I checked everything that I could think of including turning the PE off and back on. I got home and shut her down. I fired her back up and the light was still on. I went to bed and fired it up the next morning and the light hasn't been back on since.

Anyone know what's going on? This was the first and only time that this has happened.
