Ok heres what happened. I live at about 50 elevation and have 275 injectors and an edge box. Around here I can redline the engine and drive like an as$ and not have any problems. Even when towing the trailer up steep inclines at 70 miles an hour.
But when i get into the higher elevations such as tahoe I notice my check engine light is on and my edge box not working.
So i go to some diesel shop up there and he says to disconect the edge box and see if the light goes out. if it does then your box went bad. And just like he said the light went out.
I then went back to the shop and told the owner that this happened. He gave me another box and everything started working again.
Then i drove all over in the lower elevations and nothing bad happened.
I then took off on another high elevation trip this time just loaded the back of the truck with camp gear and went wheeling in the tahoe national forest with the guys. I got on it on some gravel road then my check engine light came on again. ??
I decided to clear the check engine light , disconect the box pulled the battery cables and turned on the lights then hooked everything back up and it worked again???
I know this is long winded and I'M sorry but this was pretty bizzarre .
Any info would be appreciated
