I got a brand new 05 2500 and installed with hesitation the Edge with monitor. I just got a check engine light come on.

Shortly after stepping into the power I stopped at a light then accelerated away normal when I noticed the motor felt like it was out of fuel or just puking.

Then the check engine light came on. I pulled over, everything seems to be running ok but the light is still on.

I don't know where to look to see the p-codes I have been reading about, do you need special equipment or do they show up on the dash?

If I need to take the truck in for warranty should I remove the edge? do you think they will void my warranty if they see the exhaust sensor I installed, assuming I have added a mod?

Is it possible that this was just a one time burp in the fuel that threw the check engine light and maybe resetting it will bee all I need?

Thanks in advance for any help

To see what the Trouble Code is turn the key from off to on three times without starting. The third time any Trouble Codes will display on the Odometer read out. Copy the code(s) down.

Many sites that have Trouble Code lists and description. This is one:

http://www.allpar.com/fix/computer-codes.html

If the truck seems to be running ok, then the CEL will go out by itself after you have started and run the truck for 4 or 5 times. Not just starting, but driving long enough for normal running temps and the computer will run diagnostic sequences that will clear the CEL. When you find out what the Trouble Code is, post it and maybe we can help diagnose what caused it.

MY guess is that you have the notorious 0299 code and the engine went into limp mode and defueled. I have discussed my issues with the appearance of this code on a couple of different threads on here...

One way to clear that code on a '05 is to restart the truck several, like 40 times and the CEL will go out and the 0299 will clear. The other is to buy a Bully Dog Power Pup, it will erase codes...

Let us know what code came up...

After you get the codes Call Edge, you might need to get version 2. 0 of the Juice module. Check on the tag and see what version you have, and give them a call. If you have version 1. 0 they will send you the new version at no charge. I had a couple codes come up, got the new version and no problems.

I disconnected the battery for 5 minutes and the CEL went out. The truck is running great.

Anyone know what these mean?

How about that warranty question, anyone have experience with Dodge dealerships and their opinions of adding mods?

thanks in advance

Check the connectors to the first two injector controllers. Make sure they are locked in and in the proper order, color coded wiring from the Juice manual.

Could be a bad Juice wiring harness, I had one they sent that had a bad harness.

DC/Star does not approve of performance mods period. Dealer may look the other way, but DC wont. Remove the Juice completely.
