Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Check engine light on??

A few days ago the electric fuel pressure gauge stopped working. Was fine then went to no needle movement a all. Think the two are connected? Truck still runs fine. Would air cleaner set that off? It's not new but not real dirty. Thanks for any tips! I guess I will pull codes with a scanner.

Cycle the ignition key on/off three times leaving it in the on position after the third cycle, the odometer will start scrolling any error codes that are set. Then do a search of TDR for info on codes. I just had the VP44 replaced for code P0216. I was sure glad to have it replaced under warranty!



FWIW: My truck was also running fine with no apparent problems.

disconnected the battery to clear codes if that is possible but they all came back. I'll get a manual gauge to test pressure or go to the dealer. Still under warranty I hope with 100,000 / 7 years I think I have.

Left it at the dealer it had to many codes and could be multiple issues. Guess I'll find out tomorrow. Dealer said "Why is it here if the light went out?" :--) Check it with a mechanical guage also 0 pressure.
