Check engine light with code P0607

I have a 04. 5 Today, I was driving. When I shut the truck off, it stayed running. I have an edge with attitude. I unplugged the turbo timer wires, and the truck shut off. When this happened the check engine light came on with code P0607. I took all the edge with attitude off the truck. The check engine light is still on. I cleaned all battery terminals. I took it to a mechanic shop, they cleared the code and it came right back on. Please help.

That code is ECU Internal Performance. I wonder if the boxes you had on it may have contaminated the Engine Control Unit.

According to the Dodge diagnostic manual, a replacement ECM is required when a P0607 "ECM Internal Failure" trouble code is set.



You can find plenty of preprogrammed replacements selling on eBay for around $500 or less.

I have a letter from Chrysler stating they are giving me lifetime warranty on my ECU due some not giving readings to the smog machine . I can fax you the form letter PM me a fax #

So I took the edge off and sent the truck to dealer. They said ecm lost vin. They said they flash ecm and all is good. I have been driving about a week or so with the light off now. Just thouth I would give an update.

I guess that's what they call a "glitch"!
